Bislig's quiet streets burst into color and reverly as it celebrates the Karawasan Festival as part of the Charter Day festivities, marking its
conversion into a city. Charter Day is always celebrated every 18th of the month of September, every year.
Named after the collective name of the crab family which abounds in the salty and fresh waters of Bislig, the
highlight of the Karawasan Festival is a street dancing featuring ethnic dances depicting the movement of crabs
with the revelers clad in crab-inspired costumes.
The lavishness of such local marine resource has, in fact, made Bislig City known to other places in the
See Bislig City's tourist attractions.
